Water Science for Secondary School Students

Year 9 students from Shelford Girls Grammar sampling the water at the Jock Marshall Reserve

On this page you will be able to explore the Jock Marshall Reserve through a virtual animation, access daily water quality measurements from three sampling points, view an animation of water flow through the reserve (under construction) and use the resource notes to help you with your own water science project.

3D Animation virtual animation of the Jock Marshall reserve. You may have to download an add-in to your computer first. Best viewed with Internet Explorer. Follow the animation around the reserve and when you get to a sampling point, press ‘Q for more information on the object’. Then click on the ‘Automated Water Quality Sensor’ link to open an Excel spreadsheet containing water measurement data.
