Part 13: Progress reporting

1. Research Plan – Faculty of Science

All new students are required to submit to their school a detailed Research Plan (a minimum of 1500 words) and timetable at the end of the first three (3) months of equivalent full time candidature (or six (6) months part-time). This plan will identify specific aspects of the student’s research program. It will include:

• a preliminary literature review;
• an outline of the applicable research methodology;
• a summary of equipment and facilities needed for the project; and
• timelines and milestones for the project for the coming year.

This document will be reviewed by the postgraduate coordinator of the school in which the student is enrolled and used as part of the review of a student's progress.
