Faculty of Science Early Career Researcher Grants 2008The Faculty of Science is committed to nurturing and supporting Early Career Researchers and in 2000 introduced the Early Career Researcher Grants scheme to provide seeding funds for junior staff who have yet to develop a strong track record.
1. Number of grants to be awardedGrants of up to $20,000 each will be awarded in 2008 for 2009 from a total funding pool of $80,000. 2. Eligibility requirementsApplicants must meet all of the following requirements to be eligible for an award *:
(* An applicant who does not satisfy the eligibility requirements may be considered for this scheme if he or she can demonstrate a lack of research opportunities since receiving a doctorate such as having been employed in industry, a teaching only position, working part-time (or not at all) due to family responsibilities and / or be a recent appointee without major external research funding.) 3.
