2010 Re-enrolment information for current students
If you are enrolled in a course that is managed by the Faculty of Science you are required to re-enrol through the University’s Web Enrolment System (WES) between the following dates for the upcoming academic year: Monday 12th October 2009 and Monday 23rd November 2009 You are required to re-enrol into units for both first and second semesters. Please ensure that you re-enrol into the correct number of units each semester. WARNING Should you fail to re-enrol during this enrolment period you:
It is recommended that you do not leave re-enrolment until the last day as you may experience WES access issues, require course information or units may have limited places available. Dates and penalties
Failed unitsIf you fail unit(s) in semester two 2009, which are a pre-requisite or a co-requisite for units that you have enrolled into for 2010 your enrolment in the upcoming units will be shown on your Monash portal as “INVALID”. You must remove all “INVALID” units and replace them with different units. Course transferWhen applying for a transfer to another course you should re-enrol in your current course as per normal and discontinue your course if you receive an offer for your new course. Please note applications for course transfer close on 30th October 2009. Intermission (Leave of absence)If you wish to apply for intermission you must do so via WES or by submitting an intermission application form to the Faculty of Science during the designated science re-enrolment period. Failure to do so may result in your enrolment becoming INACTIVE and your course may be discontinued for failing to re-enrol. If you apply for intermission for semester one 2010 only you must still enrol in units for semester two 2010. Please note: different academic and financial penalties may apply depending on when you apply for intermission. You should refer to the principal dates for more information. Course discontinuationIf you wish to completely withdraw from your current science course you must do so via WES or by lodging a completed Enrolment Amendment Form at the faculty office. Please refer to the principal dates for cut-off dates for discontinuing your course without penalty. International studentsInternational science students on a student visa must ensure that they are enrolled in a full time load of 24 credit points (4 units) for each semester to comply with the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) guidelines. If you do not maintain this full time enrolment you may be in breach of your student visa conditions and may be reported to DIAC. You must contact the faculty office if you wish to discuss an enrolment of less than 24 credit points in either semester. Study abroad and exchange studentsCurrent study abroad and exchange students If your semester one 2010 units have not been pre-approved by the faculty, detailed unit outlines must be provided to the faculty in order for credit to be assessed and approved. Students intending to enrol in a study abroad or exchange program in 2010 Enrolment ChangesOnce you have re-enrolled into units for the upcoming academic year you will be able to access WES and change your enrolment during the following periods:
Please note that results for semester two 2009 are officially released on the 4th December 2009. FeesOnce you have re-enrolled for the upcoming year you will receive an e-mail to your Monash e-mail account informing you that your Enrolment Details and Fee Statement is available online via WES (Web Enrolment System). TimetableThe 2010 Timetable will be available from 12th October 2009 and can be viewed via the Monash University Timetable System (MUTTS). University wide class allocation is available via Allocate+.
