| Step 1 |
|
| Step2 |
- Determine which Overseas University or Monash Overseas Campus you wish to attend and which year and semester/s you wish to study overseas. In the case of another institution, you also need to determine whether Monash has an exchange partnership with the institution. This will determine whether you can apply as an exchange or study abroad student:
- Obtain the relevant Monash Abroad application form for either exchange/study abroad or intercampus exchange from Monash Abroad.
|
| Step 3 |
- Once the overseas university or Monash campus has been decided, you will need to choose the units you wish to study for a full time load overseas that will count towards your degree at Monash. At this point in time, before you proceed any further, you should make an appointment with the Science Exchange Adviser to discuss your intended study plan and how to go about getting it approved.
|
| Step4 |
- The Science Exchange Adviser will prepare a course map for you and advise on appropriate units which could be studied overseas to ensure you are enrolled in a full time load and will receive credit for your overseas study.
- If relevant units from your proposed overseas institution or Monash campus have not already been assessed for credit, the Exchange Adviser will advise you on how to submit them for assessment to the relevant school or department. If required, you will need to provide a detailed unit outline for each potential overseas unit, including syllabus, contact hours and type, assessment, textbooks and credit points.
|
| Step 5 |
- Once the School or Department has assessed and approved your units, you MUST contact the Faculty of Science office again to seek final approval for your proposed study plan.
- If you are enrolled into a double degree program you must seek approval from both faculties.
|
| Step 6 |
- Once approved by the relevant faculty (s) you then need complete the rest of your Application form (financial plan, referees etc.) take it to Monash Abroad for further processing by the appropriate deadline for either exchange/study abroad or intercampus exchange.
